The JLCS’ inaugural gala to raise awareness of the issues children aging out of the foster care system can face, with the hopes to prevent them from falling into the trap of homelessness or human trafficking.
The Junior League of Colorado Springs is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
The Junior League welcomes all women who value our Mission. We are committed to inclusive environments of diverse individuals, organizations and communities.
Under our focus area of “Fostering Change,” the goal of the JLCS is to provide life skills assistance and mentorship to help guide foster care teens in the successful transition from the foster system to independent living and to avoid homelessness and prevent domestic violence and human trafficking.
